We want to hear all your wishes, hopes, and preferences for childcare, an invaluable step toward securing the perfect Nanny. We can tell you what you need to know about becoming an employer and the typical expectations that will help secure a long term, successful placement. From there we’ll draft a job description for your approval and initiate your search.
Now you get to select from the best nannies NYC has to offer! You’ll receive profiles complete with a childcare resume, personal bio, headshot, transcripts of our calls with previous employers and a candidate summary based on our in-person interview. From there, we move at your pace scheduling calls, interviews and trial periods.
You’ve read the resumes, you’ve done the trial, you love the nanny; It’s time to hire! We’ll walk you step by step through the offer letter and work agreement to set you and your new nanny up for success.
We’re looking for NYC’s finest! Our nannies are city-savvy with a great sense of fun and creativity and able to maintain a nurturing, safe, loving environment. We look for effective communicators with high emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills and excellent judgment.
To join our network, nannies must exhibit not only a deep understanding and love of children, but have the experience, skills and professionalism to match. Candidates with the perfect balance are rare finds and we’re selective! Our nannies must adhere not only to our standards but also to the recommended practices set by the International Nanny Association (INA), the umbrella organization of the in-home childcare industry.
We recognize our families’ needs for additional safety precautions; they’re our concerns too. Our partners in background security verify a candidate’s social security number and address history. National criminal and miscellaneous court records along with sex offender registries are also checked. A la carte options are also available: educational verification, driving records and 5 or 10 panel drug screening.
I was impressed with Nannies by Noa's responsive communication and services. They were genuinely caring, understanding, and supportive of our caregiver search. Throughout, they balanced high-quality professionalism with a friendly sensibility, and made me feel confident, calm, and stress-free about the search process.
This agency has been by far the best at communication and making sure that the nanny side is not neglected. I appreciate it and am glad I found you!
By far the best agency experience we've had! We love Kate and couldn't be happier with how you brought us together and facilitated our successful start. Thank you!
I was so impressed with the placement process and perceptiveness of the interview questions. Both of my references called to say how impressed they were with the time Nannies by Noa took to interview them. I have already told two families that if they ever need a nanny, Nannies by Noa is the agency to call.
You ladies helped us at a crucial time when we were suddenly left without childcare. Simply put-you are life savers!
Working with Nannies by Noa has been extremely rewarding. They are professional, listen to the nanny regarding her needs too and respond to questions quickly. They have extensive knowledge about the industry too. It was a real pleasure working with them and I give them my highest recommendation.
The candidates you sent our way were pros. Reliability and great judgement were key hiring factors for us. We got that and much, much more in Jude. Can't thank you enough.
Nannies by Noa made my search for a nanny position easy but deliberate. They went above and beyond by not only finding a perfect position for me, but have also continued to support me through my position and my career.
I hired a "manny" through Nannies by Noa. They listened carefully to our family's needs. We hired the first one we interviewed! They really put careful thought into each potential referral and thought about who makes a good match. Nannies by Noa saved me, a busy mother of three boys, precious time! Thank you!

Nannies by Noa is the cream of the crop when it comes to New York City’s nanny agencies. I have always felt that I am in the best of hands and have no hesitations recommending them to everyone I meet who is looking for NYC childcare needs.
My husband and I were diligent in our search to find the perfect nanny for our daughter. We were prepared to spend months looking; it took 6 days! Nannies by Noa rocked and totally understood our wants and needs.
After working with other placement agencies, I feel strongly that Nannies by Noa is the best. Not only does Noa and her team have a knack for pairing together the perfect caregiver for a family, but she makes it clear that she has both the nanny's and the family's best interest in mind.
Hourly rates in NYC vary greatly based on experience, education, special skills, additional languages, and each position’s level of responsibility. Given the caliber of candidates we represent, we typically see gross hourly rates of $30-$35 and up per hour.
Bespoke placement is both time and labor intensive; therefore, a one-time, non-refundable $350 engagement fee is requested in advance to initiate your search. Should you choose to move forward with a long-term hire, your engagement fee will be credited toward your placement fee.
For long-term, live-out placements (3 months+) the fee is 15% of the nanny’s gross annual salary.
For long-term, live-in placements the fee is 20% of the nanny’s gross annual salary.
For temporary placements (1– 3 months) the fee is 20% of the nanny’s gross earnings during the covered work period.
In the rare event a new candidate must be provided, we extend a 90-day period where we will work diligently to find a replacement nanny for your family at no additional fee.
